A superb full-bodied wine which is made from the Primitivo grape variety which has been dried slightly. On the nose, it has ripe cherries, forest fruits, a touch of spice and chocolate notes. On the palate, it has autumn fruits, damson and red fruits, followed by a smooth lingering finish with a hint of sweet fruit and spice. 25% of the wine is aged in French and American oak barrels for 12 months.
This wine pairs well with cheese and hearty meat dishes.
