Carlos Serres Crianza is a savoury classic from the famous Haro bodegas. It has tempting aromas of mature red fruit, spices and hints of liquorice. On the palate, it is complex, well structured, fresh and fruity. Overall, the aromas and flavours preserve a perfect balance between its fruity origins and maturity achieved through ageing in French and American oak barrels for 14 months.
This wine pairs well with Mediterranean cuisine, such as, fried fish, vegetable dishes, rice, red meat, white meat and cheese.
Carlos Serres Reserva is made up of Tempranillo and Graciano grapes. This Rioja is a a well-rounded, harmonious Reserva, with a very deep and elegant bouquet. It had a clean and complex nose with aromas of black raspberry, cherry, vanilla and dried flowers. On the palate, it is juicy and precise, with flavours of vibrant dark berries and a hint of chocolate. It has been aged in French and American oak barrels for 18 months.
This wine pairs well with tapas and general Spanish cuisine.
Carlos Serres Gran Reserva is made up of 85% Tempranillo, 10% Graciano and 5% Mazuelo. This Rioja has been aged in French and American oak barrels for 24 months before being refined in the bottle for 36 months before release. It is a bright red and garnet with a rim turning to brick showing it’s extended ageing in barrel and bottle. On the nose, there are complex aromas from it’s development and ageing, dark fruits, vanilla and cinnamon. On the palate, it is velvety smooth and harmonious with a fresh finish.
This wine pairs well with mushroom based dishes.
