The wine has been aged in American oak barrels for 18 months and a further 6 months in bottle before release.
On the nose, intense aromas coupled with spicy notes from the ageing process in American oak. On the palate, it is smooth, with well integrated acidity, highlights of redcurrant, liquorice, vanilla and smoky notes. The finish is long with a complex aftertaste.
This wine pairs well with roast lamb and lamb chops.
